Birds Park – Hambantota is one of Sri Lanka’s largest and most diverse bird parks, housing over 180 species of exotic and native birds in beautifully landscaped, spacious enclosures. The park is designed to offer an immersive experience for bird enthusiasts, families, and nature lovers alike. With its lush gardens, educational exhibits, and tranquil ambiance, it serves both as a recreational destination and a conservation and breeding center for endangered bird species.

Location

The bird park is located in Hambantota, in the southern coastal region of Sri Lanka. Set away from the bustling town center, it offers a peaceful environment perfect for a half-day visit.

Visitors can explore large walk-in aviaries where birds roam freely, allowing you to observe them up close. Key highlights include:

Colorful macaws, parrots, and cockatoos

Graceful cranes, flamingos, and peafowls
